How to Enable Take a Break Reminder in YouTube
Step 1: Open the YouTube app on your iPhone or Android smartphones.
Step 2: When the YouTube app is loaded, tap on your profile icon which is located at the top right of the screen.
Step 3: Select Settings from the menu that appears.
Step 4: Tap on the General.
Step 5: Tap on the option Remind me to take a break to enable this feature and a window will appear asking how often you would like to set the reminder frequency. You may choose the reminder frequency from 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 60 minutes, 90 minutes or 180 minutes.
YouTube will remind you to take a break when the watch duration matched the reminder frequency. You can choose to adjust the reminder interval or dismiss the reminder to continue with your video. Do take note that when you pause or close a video, the reminder timer will be paused too. Also, if you exit the YouTube app, logout, switching accounts, or pausing the video for more than 30 minutes, the reminder timer will be reset.
