Signature is a block of text that is placed at the bottom of an email message. A signature usually contains information like the name, title, address, phone number, email address, website, and also the url of your social media pages like Facebook, Instagram or Twitter. Signature is a great tool for creating professional impression of your brand and also to promote your website to your customers. If you’re a Gmail user, you can create your own signature so that it will be automatically added into the bottom of your email message and it is easy to do so. Here’s the tutorial on how you can add a signature in Gmail.
Launch the web browser of your choice and login to your Gmail account.
Click on the settings icon on the top right of your screen and select Settings from the menu that appears.
Under the General tab, scroll down until you see the option for Signature.
Select the option below No Signature and enter the signature text of your choice into this text box. You can also format your signature text by using the text formatting tools which are above the text box. The best signature should contain about 3-4 lines of text.
Check the option below the text box to insert this signature before quoted text in replies and remove the "--" line that precedes it.
Once you’re satisfied with the signature text, scroll down the page and click on the Save button to save the changes.
Now try to compose a new email message and Gmail will automatically add the signature at the bottom of the message. In the email compose editor, you can still edit or remove the signature before you click on the Send button.
