Startup Programs are the programs that set to start running when you boot your computer. Having too many Startup Programs could slow down your computer speed as more resources are needed to support the programs. Nowadays, many programs that you install will add themselves to the Startup Programs list for various reasons. Some of these programs are useful but not all are relevant to be added in the list. It is wise to disable them from utilizing your computer resources. In case you would like to disable Startup Programs in Windows 10, simply follow the step by step instructions below. Before you proceed, do note that some programs like anti-virus and firewall software should always remain in the startup list as they are designed to be functional in such a way. Here’s how to disable Startup Programs in Windows 10.
At the bottom left of your Windows 10 screen, click on the search icon located next to the Windows logo.
Type “Settings” and select Settings under the Best Match.
The Windows Settings screen will then appear. Click on the Apps button.
On the left navigation panel, select the Startup link.
Under Startup, you’ll see a list of the programs that will load when you boot your computer. It will also show you whether disabling a program will cause any impact to your computer.
